Unfortunately for him, the Mr. got home first to find Lando boy in his crate covered in crap and puke.  When he tried to get him out, Lando sprung like a jackrabbit and dashed all over the house leaving a trail of poo prints behind him until the Mr. could get him out into the yard.

The boy has such a sensitive stomach, unlike his sister who has a belly made out of steel.  I’m sure it’s because the sweet little dumb ass eats god knows what out in the yard, JUST LIKE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED (yeah, we’re pretty experienced at this now).  Thankfully we still had meds leftover from his last trip to the vet.

Poor thing had to stay off of food and water for a while, though, and made the most pitiful faces (much like ours when we were stripping the sofa cushions of their poo streaked covers).  Nothing like a night of bleaching, stripping, washing, bathing, swiffering, and drying!

Molly also picked up a new one in addition to what she had previously:  Retardo Montalban.

Molly is not a snuggler.  Transitioning to a dog with a new personality was hard.  There was Sam, a snuggly, fluffy, warm golden retriever.  And then there was Molls, a finicky butt who’d rather be outside chasing chipmunks than be a lap dog.  A tad different.  (Lando, however, is our cuddly lap dog.  A whopping 60 lb. lap dog, nonetheless).

But something changed, and Molly will not leave my side.  It started gradually.  I’d be in the kitchen washing dishes or something, and she’d immediately come over and not only stand next to me, but lean on me.  I’d start to cook something, and she would try to wedge herself between my legs.  She even hijacked Lando’s bed to sleep on my side of the room.

Weirdness.  Then Mr. mentioned that he thinks Molly figured out I was pregnant and was trying to protect me.  It all made sense now.  My baby psycho mutt thinks she needs to protect me.  Too cute (and slightly annoying).

Molls the Protector

This is the BEST dog shampoo. It’s all natural, smells amazing, and I don’t think the dogs even mind so much. The Green Tea & Bergamot Buddy Wash is heavenly. I’m not sure if it’s relaxing for them, but I feel like it relaxes me. I even love the smell of the bathroom after they’ve had their baths, wet dog smell be damned!

And they wonder why I’m the one sniffing them afterward. I wish I could find something just as good for my hair. Sigh…

* Yes, I do love this name. And yes, this means that our first human child will not be named after a Star Wars character.
