The party’s over

My tongue. It be bitten.

I've injured myself yet again.  I practically (and stupidly) bit the end of my tongue off last night and it bled like a motherfucker for a long time.  I think all the piece(s) are still there, but damn does it hurt.

So no more appearances at parties for a while, folks.  Sorry.

Getting Randy

FYI:

The White Stripes' Ball and Biscuit?  Gets me randy every. single. time.

You're welcome.

Loss

I just wrote a lengthy, detailed post about where I was when I first heard of the planes crashing into the WTC, but then Typepad had a hiccup and my draft was lost.

I guess it's appropriate, though, because no matter what I wrote or how it felt, it could never compare to the sorrow and loss of thousands whose lives were personally touched by this tragic event, nor the loss of freedom we now endure as a result.

Birthday Pics

Some pics from my birthday dinner with friends at Hae Woon Dae:

The coal arrives to the table

The coal is delivered to the table.  Mesmerizing, I tell you.

Birthday Korean BBQ goodness

There's the beef.  And kimchee.  Good god, the kimchee.  Yum.

Here I am enjoying a nice warm Cass (taken by Dave).

I'm pretty proud of everybody for going the extra mile(s) and eating Korean with me.  I'll admit that some of my friends aren't exactly the most adventurous diners, and this was a big step.  Next up is Chef Liu's ... who's in?

You say it’s your birthday?

... 'cause it's my birthday, too.  I'm a whopping 29 years old today. Perhaps that's why my mom gave me three jars of moisturizer this past weekend?

Bobafred and I had an early birthday dinner last night, and he even forgave me for picking a place that didn't have a full bar (there are bday benefits, methinks).  And this morning I even got a Hoops & Yo Yo card (in Norwegian, of course) from the Straders, as well as one from Lady Crumpet & Mr. Arkadin.

There's not much on my mind today except for tonight's birthday fete which will involve korean bbq, Cass, karaoke and bowling.  Pretty much a perfect evening to celebrate another year closer to death.
