Last night was the last Screen on the Green for the summer: Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
A whole slew of us picknicked after meeting up at my place. It was a beautiful and breezy evening. Plus, thanks to the gracious folks at Stormhoek Winery, we enjoyed complimentary bottles of their delicious wines since we were chosen as one of the "100 Wine Dinners." Basically, they sponsor 100 gatherings of geeks and non-geeks to get together to dine and enjoy their wine - for free! Yay geeks!
I'm a big fan of the Pinotage and am looking forward to when they start selling in the US. I'm also a big fan of anyone that ships us free bottles of wine.
We were lucky enough to see Baton Bob's latest outfit, as well.
Cheers!

So, back to my little talk show topic quiz....
And the answers are:
- "When your husband cheats with your Best Friend"-- Oprah
- "My teen gets paid for sex... she's going to boot camp" -- Maury Povich
- "I want my cousin's man"-- Jerry Springer (this was your easy one!)
- "Attacked at work" -- Montel
- "My fiance is a stalker"-- Dr. Phil
- "Addicted to love" -- Tyra Banks
Good job, guys and gals! The hardest ones were Oprah, Dr. Phil, and Tyra, whose topics are pretty much interchangeable on any given day.

There's a hilarious post on You Can't Make It Up about wedding songs. But this post is unique in that she thinks of each randomly shuffled song playing in the context of a husband and wife's first dance.
Example: "Free" by Neil Diamond. While humming "They're coming to america,Never looking back again,They're coming to America", she writes it's "Perfect for the gay Mexican marriage, where someone's scoring a Green Card."
I've been to several weddings that had the cliche songs of choice: "At Last," "From This Moment," "What a Wonderful World," gah... Seriously, they're decent songs before you hear them for the eight-hundreth time. My own wedding song was Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes." A lovely song, but I really, REALLY should have married John Cusack instead.

I got stuck watching early afternoon talk shows yesterday, and I got creeped out a little (ok, a lot) by the topics. I kept scrolling through the cable guide and it seemed to get worse and worse by show. So I thought it would be funny to have a matching game to match topics with the actual tv show.
Some are easy, some are easier. Give it a go!
