I'm not trying to be insensitive or anything. I mean, it's really sad. Really. But I just have to ask: aren't the Boy Scouts supposed to be good at dealing with the outdoors? You know, that whole "be prepared" thing and all?
I was only a lowly Girl Scout, but I'm pretty damn sure we were told to make sure we didn't pitch tents near any dangerous objects like, you know, POWER LINES. Those poor men were electrocuted in front of terrified little boys.
Another not so good idea was to gather 40,000 people in a giant, open field during the year's worst heat wave without any shade. Only after people started getting sick did they bring in water trucks.
Now another incident, completely random of course, has happened. It's certainly not a good year to be a Boy Scout.
